Its’ open pages are an involution of the learners to partake of the rich intellectual tradition. The pen of peacock’s feather and inkpot symbolizes man’s insatiable thirst for knowledge from the time immemorial to the modern age. The lyre in the left stakes its association with Goddess Saraswatee the symbol of wisdom. The swan in the crest is the symbol of purity and sanctity of mind. The lotus on which the crest sits is an object of beauty, delicacy, purity and sweet fragrance of the institution. The great luminous phrase “SRADHABAN LAVATE JNANAM” from the Bagabat Gita inscribed at the bottom the crest – suggests humility which is more purifying.
